Mine Geologist Mr. Kooiman has over 38 years of
experience in the exploration and mining of mineral deposits. His main
interests are tin, tungsten and rare metal deposits. From 1971 until
1988 he worked for several Billiton companies, first as Resident
Geologist of a large underground tin mine in Zimbabwe and later as a
senior exploration geologist working in South Africa in the search for
tin-tungsten deposits. He came to Canada in 1980 and took up the
position of Chief Mine Geologist of the Mount Pleasant Tungsten Mine.
After the closure of the tungsten mine in 1985 he became the project
geologist of the Lac-Billiton tin project at Mount Pleasant. In 1989
he became a consulting geologist working for several junior and major
companies, including Rio Algom, East Kemptville Tin Mine, Novagold and
Piskahegan Resources at Mt. Pleasant. Mr. Kooiman has been involved
with all exploration activities of Adex since 1995. He holds a BSc and
MSc in Geology of the Free University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
